Welcome
The PERFECT (Power Efficiency Revolution For Embedded Computing Technologies) Proposers Day will be held on February 15, 2012 at the 3rd floor conference room at the System Planning Corporation (SPC) 3601 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201.Presentations
Each organization will be permitted but not required to give a very short -- two minutes maximum -- presentation on a subject of interest to the present audience. Suitable topics include one of the presenting organization's technical strengths, a potentially fruitful technical direction that deserves greater attention, or an overlooked obstacle to the PERFECT goals. Abstract organizational marketing is not solicited. The time limit will be vigorously enforced. Proposed presentations must be sent as attachments to the PERFECT SN e-mail address: DARPA-SN-12-27@darpa.mil. Presentations (five chart maximum) are limited to one per organization/division. Slides must be in a 4x3 aspect ratio and contain no builds or animation. PDF or PowerPoint formats will be accepted, with PDF formats preferred to guarantee presentation integrity. Presentations may be submitted up to Registration Deadline of Friday, February 10, 2012. When you submit your presentation, please include your organization's registration code that was provided when you registered. Background
The goals of the Proposers Day are: (a) to introduce the research community (industry, academia, and Government) to the PERFECT vision and goals; (b) to facilitate interaction between investigators who may have capabilities to develop technologies that contribute to the PERFECT goals; and (c) to enable coordination between potential technology developers where beneficial.
Increasingly the ability to process sensor information on embedded systems is limited by the available on-board computation. This is a result of the limited amount of electrical power available on the platforms and computational performance per watt. The goal of the Power Efficiency Revolution For Embedded Computing Technologies (PERFECT) program is to provide the processing power efficiency required for future embedded computing.
